'San Antonio Book Festival'

Headed to the 'San Antonio Book Festival' with my book Premeditated Pandemonium. Looking forward to meeting my friends in San Antonio. I'll post lots of photos with fans and other authors when I get back. If you are in the San Antonio area, look for me there.  My promoter, Tom Chesser, has several of his clients (who are writers) lined up for the event. Only weeks ago Tom was at the Oscars with another of his clients, best selling author Daniel Gomez. I'm looking forward to meeting Daniel and seeing what Tom has in store for us at this event.

Just for fun

This is just a fun photo of me and my giant Book 'Spies Lie & Spies Die.'

Illustrations in my book for children.

https://www.amazon.com/Dan-Dwayne-Spencer/e/B07D8G8QRJ/ref=dp_byline_cont_ebooks_1
I'm supposing that some of you have seen my artwork before. After all I do have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree and worked as an artist and art professional for many years. Actually, I was a teacher of fine arts for 24 years. In the photo you see here I have assembled 5 of the 14 illustrations I did for my book for children The Land of Neither Here nor There. Reading the pictures from top left there is the 'Knock, Knock Beast,' and 'Mr. Tumblejoy.' The center picture is of 'Ms. Honeydew' who is busy blowing the thistle of a dandelion. On the bottom row, again left to right is 'The Hideous Beast with a Good Heart,' and 'the Dragon' - the creature from the sea that Kinin and his grandfather catches in their fishing net. As I said there are 14 illustrations in all and the book is printed in full color.

Check it out at Amazon.com.

These images are a part of the series I call Earth Angels.

Some of you know that I have a BFA degree. The 'FA' is for Fine Art. Well, I have been blessed to have made a living with my degree. Many people achieve a degree and end up working in a completely different field. I'm sure by now your asking about my writing... why are you a writer now? Let me start explaining by going way back when and then you'll understand me better. When I went to college I took the English proficiency test and clipped classes. They told me that I wouldn't pass it the first time through because it's the equivalent of making an 'A' in all four of my required English classes. (With God's help) I did it first time through. This is to say I had an affinity with English and liked to write. That was many, many years ago. There was a lot of painting and drawing going on in the following years, but later when art became every day's work I would relax and take my mind off the daily grid by writing. When my kids came along I wrote tales of a far away land where people had fantastic adventures. One of those tales was about an Indian Princess (truly a fairy tale because there never was a true Indian Princess. Indian society wasn't set up like that. So, the tale had to happen in the far away place of the Land of Neither Here nor There.) Now you can see that even though I was an artist I was also a writer... I just wasn't published. It was my (now grown) children who came to me and asked me to get the tales I told them as a child published. That started it all. I now have four books available on Amazon.com and more on the way. To be exact, I have two novels, a book of short stories, and my book for children. I hope you enjoy these drawings. I promise to post more soon.

Reposted and made it better

I posted my book trailer and took it down. I was unhappy with the resolution of the video. It seemed blurry to me so I made a Microsoft Media File of the video and reuploaded it. This one is much better. Check it out. I think you will agree.

Jehovah's Tears

"Jehovah’s Tears was a set of plans kept in the secure vault of the Solomon Diamond Exchange. We weren’t sure what it really was but the chatter was that Jehovah’s Tears was a concept explosive - a powerful one. For obvious reasons those plans were listed by top brass as ‘Eyes Only – Need to Know.’”
"...the plans to what the Israeli government was calling Jehovah’s Tears. That’s the part you didn’t know… It was Zane’s official objective."

Most writers regard the truth as their most valuable possession, and therefore are most economical in its use.

Having faith in... Premeditated Pandemonium

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Premeditated+Pandemonium&ref=nb_sb_noss
Right after Premeditated Pandemonium was released I took it to Bill Kerns (The most well known arts critic in West Texas) and asked him to review it if he had time to do so. Recently Mr. Kerns contacted me and although he is very busy with his commitments to Lubbocklights.com and his other posting outlets, he intends on writing a review of my book. Does the idea of being reviewed make me nervous… I would be lying if I said it didn't. I'm a writer. We writers always want others to like our work. Frankly I have faith in what I have created. I think it is a book with heart.

In "Premeditated Pandemonium" you'll find a hero who is able to stand alone but knows the strength of having faith in his team. He depends on them just as much as he depends on his wits and deductive skills. The female lead is a capable and strong woman who knows her worth. She has a hard time committing to relationships and can't decide which man is more important in her life. The female police chief is a stern and by the book law officer who (through no fault of her own) falls prey to a maniacal maniac. She micro manages and has a hard time trusting her subordinate officers... that is until she is rescued by one of them. She finds that faith is a lesson that comes in bitter doses. Then there is the Texas Ranger who trusts that the team he has joined (to find the killer and return what remains of the diamonds) is more capable than any other. He trusts them instead of rushing in and replacing them with state agents. Finally we have Natalie who is the toughest woman on the team and the most intuitive. She sees how easily it would be to loose faith after seeing the despicable cult members and how they twist the Bible scriptures to mean what they want it to. She admits to praying for Janie so that she will not loose her way... not loose her faith.

Yes, I have faith in "Premeditated Pandemonium."
